We just returned from visiting my parents. LL loved every minute of our three-day weekend with Grammy and Pop; so much so, in fact, that he skipped both his naps and hardly slept at all last night. I’ll let you imagine how exhausted I feel. One of the songs I love to sing to him is Moon River–and I think I sang it seventy-two times last night. There was a period of about six months where I would watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s every night. Most evenings, I wouldn’t make it past the opening credits–and always, by the time Holly had finished her breakfast and the instrumental version of Moon River was over, I was fast asleep. Something about the melody and the quiet longing of it all…. And while it did not do my son much good last night, I thought I’d share it with you anyhow.

I really love that song too. I sing it all of the time because there is something so sad, but also hopeful about it.
Love Rosa Xx
Sad and hopeful; exactly!
That is my all time favorite book, although you can’t hear Moon River when you read it!
I cannot believe I have NEVER thought about there being a book. DUH. I have already reserved a copy of it
.
Maybe I will try this some time when I am having trouble sleeping
Puts me right to sleep every time
